Account types

A wide range of account types to help you meet your goals

We offer GIAs, Junior GIAs, ISAs, JISAs, and Pension accounts in pounds sterling, and we offer GIAs in euros and U.S. dollars.

Account Type	Description
GIA	A General Investment Account (“GIA”) is a standard investment account where any income and capital gains are subject to tax.
Junior GIA	An account opened by a ‘bare trust’, controlled by one or more trustees (e.g. parents or grandparents) on behalf of a child beneficiary.
ISA	Individual Savings Accounts (“ISAs”) offer tax efficient investment. ISA investments grow tax free for both income and capital gains.
JISA	Junior ISAs (“JISAs”) are available to children under the age of 18. JISA investments grow tax free for both income and capital gains. JISAs can only be accessed by the named child, once they have reached the age of 18.
Pension	Personal Pensions offer tax efficient investing for retirement. Tax relief may be available on contributions and investments grow tax free for both income and capital gains. Withdrawals can generally be made from age 55, with a portion tax-free and the remainder subject to income tax.

Minimum investment amounts

We have a minimum account size of £50,000, which can be split across different account types (for example a £20,000 ISA and a £30,000 GIA).

There is a minimum investment in a Pension account of £50,000.

For euro and U.S. dollar accounts, there is a minimum investment of €50,000 and $50,000 respectively.

The minimum investment amount for each sub portfolio is £5,000 for sterling accounts apart from JISA portfolios where this is reduced to £1,000. For Euro and US Dollar accounts the minimum amount for sub portfolios is €20,000 and $20,000 respectively. The minimum direct debit monthly contribution is £100, €100 or $100.

The Netwealth NetworkOur family and friends Network allows clients to share the benefits of the Netwealth service. As a client, you can invite up to seven additional family members or friends to your Network, allowing access to the service and driving fee benefits for everyone. An individual member’s fees are calculated on the total amount invested by all members of the Network. Each individual has full control of their own investments and can still pursue the financial goals that best suit their age and requirements. Additionally, the minimum account size (excluding Pension accounts) is reduced to £5,000 for a client invited into a Network.
